Saxton, our newest acquisition in Seattle, a Class A, eight-story building with 325 apartments and a two-level garage, was built in 2019.  This acquisition allows EQR to expand its presence in the First Hill (Capitol Hill/First Hill submarket) neighborhood of downtown Seattle. Other EQR properties located nearby Saxton include Seventh and James, Rianna, Chloe on Madison, and Harbor Steps.

Saxton has 7,604 square feet of retail space. Our retail team has been hard at work lining up exciting new restaurants that will open in 2020.

The property is within walking distance to Downtown Seattle, which is a world-class shopping and lifestyle destination providing a blend of national stores, independent boutiques and local restaurants. It is in close proximity to the Pike Pine Corridor in Capitol Hill which is the center of Seattle’s hip, cultural, restaurant, and music scene.

Building amenities include a rooftop lounge, courtyard with fire pit, 24-hour fitness room, sports lounge and electrical vehicle (EV) charging stations.  The First Hill Street Car is one block from the property and provides access to the Link Light Rail train system with nearby stations in Pioneer Square, Capitol Hill, and the International District.  The studio, one and two-bedroom units feature A/C ports that allow the installation of portable A/C units, stainless steel appliances, hard surface flooring, electronic door locks and in-unit washer and dryer.

Saxton was designed to meet the Seattle energy code and includes measures like the installation of solar arrays and green roofs, both of which are present at Saxton. The property is also designed for the SCL Build Smart program for energy efficiency which includes LED lighting throughout and low-energy appliances.

Saxton has a Walk Score of 96 and a Transit Score of 100.
