All Stars Project (ASP) Announces Co-Chairs to the ASP Chicago Board

All Stars Project (ASP) announced that Equity Residential’s Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer Catherine Carraway has been named co-chair of the Chicago Board, with Ben Nortman, Executive Vice President of Hilco Global and is the CEO of Hilco Merchant Resources.

The

is a national nonprofit that “helps tens of thousands of inner-city youth and their families create success in their lives” through a performance based approach.

Catherine joined the ASP of Chicago board in 2016 and supported the establishment of a Center for Afterschool Development. Motivated by early after-school experiences, she is committed to expanding opportunities, such as paid summer internships, for Chicago’s most disadvantaged youth.

“I am honored to be appointed co-chair of the Chicago board along with Ben Nortman and proud to work with the All Stars Project, an organization that has historically been at the forefront of new efforts to bring people from all racial, economic and social walks of life together to create something positive and new,” said Ms. Carraway. Through involvement with All Stars’ after school development programs, I have seen personally how young people growing up in Chicago’s marginalized neighborhoods are able to connect with the mainstream and see new possibilities for their lives and their communities. At the same time, All Stars gives caring adults from the business community, the suburbs and affluent neighborhoods a way to be part of new solutions to engaging questions of societal inequities, racism and social justice that are top of mind across the country today.”
